Kobena-Marcus J. Collins, a seasoned diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging (DEIB) professional with multiple certifications in DEI, marketing, and leadership, brings over a decade of dedicated advocacy since 2008. Rooted in a diverse household, Kobena's passion for DEIB grew, driven by personal experiences and global exposure from traveling to 10 countries in one semester. A servant-leader and utility player, Kobena emerged as a leader in diversity recruitment, establishing a national brand as a relationship manager and DEIB expert. Featured in podcasts like Uplifting Impact and C3EB Summit 2020, Kobena's impact extends to the foundation of diversity and inclusion efforts at Kohl’s corporate offices, influencing over 100,000 associates. Recently appointed to the City of Milwaukee's board of commissioners, Kobena's service, leadership, and varied experiences underscore his commitment to fostering inclusive environments. A community speaker/advocate and proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kobena holds a BA in secondary education and history from Lake Forest College and a Master of Education in cultural foundations of education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
