Terrell Johnson
Community Strategist
Terrell Johnson, a passionate youth advocate and facilitator, brings 35 years of experience supporting "AT Potential" survival-focused BIPOC communities. With a strong track record in leadership across corporate, private, and non-profit sectors, Terrell leads discussions on equity, justice, and inclusion. Specializing in youth development, building purposeful relationships, court advocacy, and life readiness, Terrell has served as a facilitator and circle leader in correctional and treatment settings. Viewing youth as assets rather than "at-risk," Terrell, a lifelong resident of north Minneapolis, firmly believes in the transformative power of serving others. He collaborates with law enforcement to enhance their understanding of marginalized communities and advocates for policing approaches in Minneapolis and beyond that benefit all parties. Through his work with the metro-transit police department and homeless care team unit, Terrell identifies homeless youth in crisis, offers support for mental health challenges, and devises strategies for productive interactions between the police and youth, steering away from excessive force and building community trust.
