Small Business Capacity Building Program

Ose Sesay and Anisa Hajimumin

The Small Business Capacity Building Program provides BIPOC entrepreneurs and BIPOC led-nonprofits the opportunity to improve their internal operations by participating in a 3-month training program that strengthens these business owners’ abilities to fulfill their mission and operate effectively and over time.

The Program is divided into two “tracks”— one for small businesses and the other for community based organizations — and focuses on four key areas: accounting, financial capital access, bid documentation interpretation, and collaboration and development.

The curriculum for each track provides in depth instruction and support on the unique and specific challenges and barriers that each type of business encounters.
